Your legal needs will be met by the strong and committed team of Lydia Moritz and her senior law clerk, Michelle Lyle. Lydia has practiced law for over 20 years and Michelle has worked with Lydia as her senior law clerk for most of those years. The client is an integral part of their team. Separation and divorce can be an emotional and stressful time. Lydia and Michelle are client focused and support you through the process. Their aim is to achieve the best possible results in a cost effective manner.

Lydia Moritz, Lawyer
Lydia has a Hons. B.A. from the University of Western Ontario, and a M.Ed. from Antioch University. She attended Osgoode Hall Law School and was called to the Bar in 1994.
Lydia practices exclusively in the area of family law, and engages in alternate dispute resolution processes including the collaborative family law process, traditional co-operative negotiations, mediation and arbitration. She has worked in all levels of court including the Ontario Court of Justice, the Superior Court of Justice and the Ontario Court of Appeal.
Former member of the Personal Rights Panel for the Office of the Children’s Lawyer representing children in child protection and custody and access court proceedings.
Former: Board member and Chairperson of Sexual Assault and Violence Intervention Services (formerly Halton Rape Crisis Centre); taught at Bar Admission Courses; Volunteer at The Woman’s Center – Legal Clinic; Presenter at Canadian Mental Health Association; Presenter at Mandatory Information Program and On Site mediator located at the Milton Court House; Board member and Treasurer of Halton Standard Condominium Corporation #612.


Michelle Lyle, Senior Law Clerk
Michelle is our Senior Law Clerk with almost 30 years of experience having graduated from Sheridan College in 1988.
Michelle is involved in the day to day interactions with the clients and assists them in dealing with their family law matter. She keeps clients informed about their file through ongoing email communication and telephone contact. She is involved in all aspects of file management, including the preparation of Financial Statements and Disclosure Briefs.
Michelle is also a Commissioner for Takings Affidavits, appointed by the Province of Ontario.
